Miniatures

I have always loved miniatures. Some of my earliest making memories were model kits. I moved from the plastic vehicle models, to the 1/4 scale vinyl figure models, to making my own from scratch. As with most of my creative work it falls into 2 categories: Star Wars & Disney.

Since 2000 Jamie Follis (Sillof) has gained renown for his unique & innovative combinations of characters into different eras, genres, and themes.  These redesigns are intended to serve as commentaries on the various influences and timeless archetypes of pop culture.

I am thrilled to announce that I have created a series of poster prints of each my lines from the last 20 years. Each print is designed to look like a poster of the genre of film that inspired it. Here is the group shot of my 1980s reimagining of Star Wars’s villains as iconic 1980’s cinema archetype Here is the group shot of my 1980s reimagining of Star Wars’s heroes as iconic 1980’s cinema archetype Here is the alien Hunter who attacks our heroes as they move through the city. As our heroes are fleeing the mall they are attacked by Russian communist forces led by General Tarakanoff The young heroes are besieged by waves of Storm Clan Ninjas. No 80’s movie would be complete without ninjas! Dante Victor was a fictional slasher from 80’s horror films. He somehow comes into the real world and causes our young heroes much trouble Our heroes are chased into the city where they are attacked. Luckily they are saved by Lectro and his breakdancing crew/ gang. Hank’s beat up van May not look like much but she save the group a few times.
